Employee Orientation
All new employees hired by Peoplefirst are provided clinical staff orientation, including:
- Medicare Law - general guidelines, Part A benefits, Part B benefits, Balanced Budget Act of 1997, Medicare exercises
- Documentation - introduction to the Peoplefirst Documentation System, evaluation, treatment grids, progress notes, discharge summaries, quality control, impairment impact ratings, patient classification codes, and audit tools
- Practice Patterns - clinical philosophy, underlying assumptions, practice pattern decision matrix, and practice patterns for specific programs
- Billing Policy and Daily Activity Report (DAR) - billing policy, billable activities, non-billable activities
- Billing Policy and DAR Relationship with the Long-Term Care Facility- OBRA, MDS, care plans, screenings, restraints, positioning and contracture program, functional maintenance, and restorative nursing program
